Dear Bulldog Family,

     We are off to a great start this school year and are very proud of our students. We have worked hard to prepare a smooth transition for our incoming freshmen and new students to FPC and our hard work is paying off. Our students are exemplifying what it means to “Be a Bulldog”.
     Communication between home and school is something we are always seeking to improve. If you have not signed up for the Skyward parent portal you can come in during school hours and we will be happy to assist you. Skyward gives you access online from home to view your child’s grades.
     I strongly encourage everyone to use our school resources. It is important to communicate and meet with your child’s guidance counselor and review their academic plan. Working together we can ensure success.
     End of Course exams are in place this school year for Algebra, Geometry, and Biology. Here are some resources to learn more information about the EOC’s and ways to help your child be successful:

• Tutoring is available for math and science every Tuesday from 2:15-4:15. Preparation for the Algebra and Biology End of Course Exam will be addressed in these tutoring sessions. Math is in room 7-125 Science is in room 2-203.
• Tutoring is available for English, Reading, and Research Papers every Thursday from 2:15-4:15 in room 2-119.
• A great deal of information on the End of Course Assessments can be found on the Florida Department of Education’s website at fcat.fldoe.org/eoc/.
• An online resource that provides instruction on multiple content areas can be found at www.khanacademy.org.
